Falling short on implementation of fall guidelines in health services
Older people frequently require care from health services and are likely to have mobility, cognition and balance impairments. Falls are frequent in health services. For older people who are hospitalised, falls can result in an extended length of stay, further complications and premature discharge to residential care.
