In October 2022 the World Health Organisation (WHO) factsheetabout the global ageing of the population, forecasted that by 2030,16% of the global population will be aged 60 years or over.

Physiotherapists can and do play a crucial role in provision of rehabilitation for people living with dementia. Physiotherapists use their knowledge of movement and movement disorders to analyse movement problems experienced by people living with dementia.
