Nepalese Physiotherapists Working with Older People (NPTOP)

Nepalese Physiotherapists Working with Older People (NPTOP) was established in 2026 and is recognised as a national subspecialty group under the Nepal Physiotherapy Association (NEPTA), focusing on physiotherapy practice for older adults in Nepal.

NPTOP aims to strengthen physiotherapy practice, education, research, and professional collaboration in geriatric care. The group promotes evidence-based physiotherapy interventions for older adults, supports professional development among physiotherapists working in geriatric rehabilitation, and contributes to improving functional independence and quality of life for Nepal’s ageing population. The member country representative for IPTOP is Anup Acharya.
