Société Française de Physiothérapie
The ‘Société Française de Physiothérapie’ is the national association bringing together the various fields of the profession. The ‘Geriatrics Interest Group’ belongs to the SFP, and is recognised as France’s representative to the IPTOP by the French national council of physiotherapists.
The aim of the ‘GI Gériatrie’ is to bring together physiotherapists who are sensitive to the ageing of the population, to share and inform each other, but also to give weight to a discipline that is still growing.
The importance of research and its links with practice is at the heart of our concerns. The GI Gériatrie is helping to create competence and expertise in geriatric physiotherapy in the face of the societal challenge of ageing.
