Sexual Health and Aging: The Physio’s Role

Sexual health remains an important part of quality of life across the lifespan, yet it is frequently overlooked in aging populations. This 30-minute webinar explores the vital role physiotherapists play in addressing age-related changes in sexual function and integrating sexual health into patient-centred care.

Participants will gain practical guidance on how to raise the topic of sexual health appropriately, recognize when sexual health concerns are clinically relevant, and support older adults with confidence and sensitivity within physiotherapy practice.

Presenter: Dr Uchenna “UC” Ossai, PT, DPT, WCS, CLT
Assistant Professor, University of Utah (USA)

Dr Ossai is a certified Sexuality Counsellor and serves as faculty advisor for the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certification Program. Her clinical and research interests include pelvic floor and sexual function in marginalized populations. She is also the founder of YouSeeLogic, a sexual health platform for adults grounded in intersectional and social justice frameworks, focused on improving sexual intelligence through innovative education
